French Yellow Clay is a very mild clay that can be used on dry or sensitive skin. Naturally absorbent, it cleans, tightens, and renews skin cells. The mineral content of the clay--which can include magnesium, potassium and calcium, among other properties--is said to help draw toxins out of the body, remove dead skin cells and provide a deep cleansing for the pores to leave the skin smooth and refreshed. Moroccan Clay is an extremely gentle clay that is known to exhibit amazing drawing powers. This clay draws oils from the skin which makes it a fantastic astringent for oily hair and skin. Furthermore, it stimulates skin circulation and because of its gentleness, it is suitable for even the most sensitive skin. This clay is recommended for acne, poison oak or ivy and skin rashes. Multani Mitti Clay, also known as Indian Fuller’s Earth and Mutan’s Sand, prevents blemishes making it a popular clay for acne prone skin. It can be used to treat inflammation, insect bites, and rashes. It helps even out skin tone and stimulates circulation, giving skin a radiant complexion. Can also be used as a dusting powder. Olive Kaolin Clay gently exfoliates and cleanses, helping to stimulate circulation and firm skin. Unique minerals and phyto-nutrients help eliminate toxins and oils from the skin and brighten giving skin a youthful appearance. Pink/Rose Brazilian Clay is prized for being the mildest clay available. The minerals that give this clay its lovely natural color include copper, selenium, manganese magnesium, and zinc. Rhassoul Clay is very useful on oily, sensitive and tired skin. This product contains very high levels of magnesium, potassium and calcium. Rhassoul clay is used in many spa and bath soaks primarily because of the clay’s detoxifying properties. This is because of the naturally high levels of minerals found in the clay. Sea Clay, also known as Dead Sea Clay, is a product that originates from The Dead Sea. It has high levels of magnesium, potassium, sulfate and calcium; helping revitalize tired skin and remove acne causing toxins from the skin. Oily, Acne-prone Skin Types
White Kaolin Clay has a neutral pH and is rich in silica dioxide. Compared to other clays (such as bentonite clay), Kaolin does not make your skin dry. It is gentle on your skin and makes it soft and healthy. Dry, Sensitive, and Mature Skin Types.
Yellow Brazilian Clay, yellow clays often include feldspar, also called aluminum silicate. It’s a soft, mild clay that doesn't absorb oil like the other colors of clay. That makes it perfect for sensitive or dry skin. You will often find increased amounts of silicon, titanium, and potassium in this clay, which can promote increased collagen production. Some people also believe it can remineralize the skin, making it stronger and healthier. It gently exfoliates and cleanses, helping to stimulate circulation. It contains a high content of silica that helps purify, detoxify, and remove dead skin and unique minerals and phyto-nutrients, which help eliminate toxins and oils from the skin. Instructions:
Hydrate clay with water. A general rule of thumb is equal parts clay to water. For example 2 tsp clay: 2 tsp water. Every clay has its own character and qualities. You may need to add a touch more water to get a creamy consistency. Apply to skin with hand or brush. Leave on for 5-10 minutes. Less time for dry skin and more time for oily skin.
